Welcome to BRASA! A student-led initiative by Brazilians for Brazilians.
BRASA McMaster is a local of BRASA, an international organization that supports Brazilian students all over the world. BRASA McMaster is a student-led initiative within LANMU that aims to unite the Latin American community and educate students, staff, faculty and the broader Hamilton community about our beloved Brazilian cultures, identities, histories and much more.
“In my first year at McMaster, I was looking for a Brazilian community but could not find one. As the years went by, though, I started meeting Brazilian students all across campus. That is when I realized there was real potential to build something meaningful, not just for myself, but for other students in the same position who were also searching for a sense of belonging and a home away from home. With that in mind, I reached out to goBRASA, the largest non-profit organization in the world connecting Brazilians globally, and launched the McMaster chapter!”
